ITEC Day Celebrations in Mzuzu, 21 November 2025

High Commission of India organised ITEC Day celebration in the City of Mzuzu on November 21. High Commissioner H.E Mr. Amararam Gujar highlighted the importance and significance of the MEA’s flagship initiative of ITEC programme which aims to contribute in the socio-economic development of partner developing countries. Under ITEC, India shares its development experience, expertise and technical know-how with ITEC partner countries by offering capacity building scholarships for short and medium term courses in the premier Indian institutes. Mayor of Mzuzu city H.E Mr Chiyembekezo Moses graced the occasion as Guest of Honour who appreciated Government of India for extending its great support to Malawi by providing training and skill upgradation courses to Malawian youths. Around 70 ITEC alumni and senior officials in Government of Malawi including Commissioner of Police , Mzuzu city, Vice Chancellor of Mzuzu university, Director of Mzuzu Central Hospital attended the event. ITEC alumni also shared their experiences and underscored the benefits of ITEC programme which proved useful for their professions.
