153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma 2022

High Commission celebrated the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma today at the High Commissioner joined the Indian Community & Friends of India in Malawi in paying homage to the “Father of the Nation. In his remarks, High Commissioner while highlighting the relevance of Gandhiji’s thoughts and his philosophy in the contemporary world mentioned that Gandhi ji was born in India but belonged to the entire world. He also in his remarks remembered Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Second Prime Minister of India on his 118th Birth Anniversary and mentioned that Shastri ji’s iconic slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” continues to inspire the Indians.
